Purses

 My friend gave me her mums old silver chain clutch purse which is lined with satin. I already had a smaller, coin purse from my grandma.

 This bag I got for only $2 from the Salvos, and later on I saw the same one at a vintage shop for $15!

Goodbye

My good friend and flat mate is heading over to America to live with her boyfriend for a year.
For her combined leaving party and 21st, I baked and decorated three cakes for her.

The cake in the middle was a bit of a fail, I burnt it and had to cut lots of it off. So I didn't put too much effort in to decorating it.

This one because she likes the beach and surfing.

Half Australian flag, half American.

Anna wore a beautiful flowing black jumpsuit and some killer nude heals. I got a hand made prom/bridemaids dress from the op shop.

This is the dress, it only cost $10 and I'm really into sheer fabric at the moment, so this was perfect.
I wore a white slip underneath which was a couple of dollars.

The colour is blue green, and has a pretty white rose on the neck line.

The Happy Wife

 Mum took me out to lunch in Bunbury, at The Happy Wife. It was such nice food and had a different atmosphere to all the other cafes in Bunbury. It's similar to a cafe that i'd like to open.

 We sat on the little deck outside which over looked the water.

 ...there were planter boxes along the wall and water. They had natives, lemon trees and herbs planted.

 My tea was served in a pretty old tea cup and saucer.

 We went home to eat apple pie, which we had made earlier with home grown apples from a friend.

 Here is a pic of mums chooks. The little grey one is new and still just a baby, she's called Little Emu.

 The two pictures above I got from the salvos for $1 each. mum said their from the 70's.

These kitchen tubs were a bargain $3. they were half price but most of the time i'v come across these they're abou $10 or more!

Vixens and Vamps

 I got this skirt from the fair. It's made of recycled fabrics and was $45 down from $75.

 These boots were second hand and cost $20, but I had to get them resoled, which cost $60. But it was good because I got a pair of boots in good condition for under $100. Also I'm pretty stoked I didn't buy a new pair...

StarTreck

Not that you can tell but under my scarf is the best and most comfortable shirt I own, its a men StarTreck shirt from the 1980's I got it for a few dollars. It's worn pretty much everyday and I think its been washed once since I got it...

Cheap Treasure

We drove through Jarradale today, and just our luck their sunday markets were on!
It was pretty small and we arrived near the end, but I picked up these beautiful tin trays.
Only $1 each and the lady who sold them to me said they are over 50years old...

Bindaring

I went to the Bindaring Red Cross Jumble Sale this morning with my flat mate.
I't was massive with heaps of people.
Some had grabbed garbage bags full of clothes and were dragging them around the hall.

A much too stressful way to start the day after a night of celebrating the end of semester.
I definantly prefer quiet op shops with some classical music playing and grandmas chatting...

Winter Wooly

My friend decided he was going to borrow my cardigan for the winter, so I go a new one.
This bad boy was $5 from Vinnies, and I'm pretty sure all of my flat mates are jealous....yeah, its got bees on it, whatever.

Two Dollar Table Cloths

I got all of these table cloths from opshops and markets, I'd never spend more than $5 on one.

Meet The Girls

Here are a few photos of our girls, who only started laying a few weeks ago.

 

They get up to lots of mischief. Flying over to the neighbours backyard, scratching up our vegetables and flowers, and hasseling us for a taste of our breakfast and tea. The photo above is Bassman, and below is Collosal...

There are also some photos of an opshop outfit I got today, the skirt was 50cents from Vinnies, and the old Sportsgirl top was $4 from the Salvos.
(I look pretty scruffy because I spent the morning gardening and fixing my flat bike tyre)

The 90's striped shirt and denim combo reminded me of Freaks and Geeks...I also wanted to put up photos of James Franco and Seth Rogen because they are gorgeous! Lovin' It!
